The primary task of the Trust is to raise funds in order to contribute by way of grant or loan towards the cost of relevant facilities and programmes.

Improve facilities at cricket grounds across Scotland
CDTS is committed to the ongoing development and enhancement of cricket facilities at grounds across the country. By providing grants or loans, we help support clubs in improving their infrastructure and provisioning equipment, creating environments in which players, officials, and spectators can thrive.
Support coaching and coach education at all levels
CDTS is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for coaches at every level of the game. We seek to equip coaches with the tools and confidence they need to inspire the next generation of players.
Increase the number of people playing cricket at a grassroots level
CDTS is committed to broadening the reach of the sport and making cricket accessible to as many people as possible. Through targeted outreach initiatives and collaboration with local clubs , we work to introduce new audiences to the game and foster a lifelong love of cricket.

Our Funding Guidelines

Who might be eligible?
Applicants must be affiliated to Cricket Scotland or be a recognised constituted body concerned in a substantial way with the development of cricket and cricketers in Scotland. Individual applicants must be a member of a club affiliated to Cricket Scotland. Club applicants must have a junior section or have a commitment to introduce one.

So if you are:

A member club of Cricket Scotland.
An educational establishment that plays and promotes cricket in Scotland.
A district,association or league in membership of Cricket Scotland.
A specific programme within Cricket Scotland's community and performance development areas.
An individual member of a club that is a member of Cricket Scotland.

Then you or your project may be eligible for consideration.
What might get support?
It is impossible to predict in advance of receipt of any application, the amount of any grant or loan that might be applicable.This will depend on the merits of the application and other potential sources of financial assistance, and will always be at the sole discretion of the Trustees. The Trust may award a grant or loan of any percentage up to the full cost of an approved application subject always to a ceiling established by the Trustees from time to time. Such ceiling will be determined having regard to the levels of trust income and the availability of funds.
What might be eligible?
Whilst not intended to be a comprehensive list, the following is indicative of areas of investment likely to receive consideration for financial support.

Improvements to or the creation of facilities at cricket grounds through the undertaking of capital works or the provision of equipment.
Projects specifically designed to increase the number of children and young people experiencing and playing cricket.
Projects designed to improve the availability of coaching and training facilities for children and young people
Programmes for the recruitment and education of coaches, umpires and scorers and for the education of cricket groundsmen

Each application will be determined by the Trustees on its own merits. It will be necessary to demonstrate that such financial support is essential to enable a project to proceed within an appropriate timescale and that other areas of funding are either unavailable or have been exhausted.

You will be advised at the earliest opportunity as to whether and when the Trustees will consider a formal application and if appropriate the Commercial Director will provide guidelines for the making of a formal application. The nature and complexity of the formal application will take account of the resources of the applicant body or indivdual.
